Staff Training

Your mission week begins with a 2 1/2 -day staff training event prior to the start of the work camp. Staffers arrive on Thursday afternoon at a location near the retreat center. The staff spends Thursday night through Saturday morning preparing for their mission week. Some of the training components include: learning more about junior high students and what their world is like, a prayer tour with the families we will be serving, a hands-on morning at the work site learning some basics about leading a worksite and practicing some construction techniques, and more. Of course, a big part of the staff training is meeting your fellow staffers and building new relationships!

On Saturday afternoon, the staff moves
into camp and begins preparing for the arrival of the campers on Sunday.

Staffers are required to attend the
training event.
