Staffing Information/Application

Young Adult Staff Documents:

1. Young Adult Job Description (current high school senior or older)

2. Junior Staff Job Description (current 10th or 11th grade student)

Before you apply, please take a moment to review several staffing documents. These are very important and require you to agree and covenant to follow if accepted to staff with us next summer. You will need Adobe Reader to view these documents. Adobe Reader is available for free here.

1. Jeremiah Project Statement of Faith
2. Jeremiah Project Mission Statement
3. Jeremiah Project Staff Work Camp Covenant
4. Jeremiah Project Staff Leadership Expectations

All four of the above documents can be downloaded here.

I have read all four documents and they are consistent with my beliefs, faith practices and lifestyle.

 8.  Would God be pleased with the content of your webpage?  Please consider this question very carefully.  As a staffer with the Jeremiah Project, we are placing you in a leadership position and asking others to view you as a leader in a Christian organization.  It is good that you want to be a leader, but God requires more of us if we desire to be leaders in His church (see 1 Timothy 3:1-10).

Do you have a MySpace, Facebook, or other page?  If so, is the content (pictures, videos, text, etc) consistent with that of a follower of Christ?  Your webpage says who you really are!  Does the content contradict or reinforce basic Christian values and morals?    Please review your page before completing the application and answer the next question:

NOTE: Staff Training is included in the week you serve.  You will need to arrive at staff training on Thursday at 5:00pm.  Typically, staff is able to leave by 1:00pm the Saturday camp ends. For applicants 18 and older:

In the interest of safety for all campers, the Jeremiah Project requires background checks for its entire staff.  Each staffer is responsible for obtaining the appropriate background checks and is responsible for all costs associated with background checks.  This amount is usually under $25.00.

“If I am accepted for a staff position I will provide the required completed background checks at my own cost.  I understand that at a minimum, I will complete a Criminal History Record Form SP-167 through the Virginia State Police (or similar) and a Central Registry Search through the Virginia Department of Social Services (or similar) no later than June 1, 2009.”
